Upon graduating from OCS, Mr. Rosenblat was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry. Mr. Rosenblat then successfully completed Infantry Officer Basic Course and Airborne School. Mr. Rosenblat was then assigned to the 7th Infantry Division (Light) at Fort Ord California. While in the JAGC Mr. Rosenblat served as a military prosecutor with 9th Infantry Division at Fort Lewis Washington, and with the 593rd Area Support Group, Dragon Base, Saudi Arabia. Upon being redeployed with his unit back to Fort Lewis, Mr. Rosenblat was assigned to Trial Defense Services attorney, TDS. While with Trial Defense Services, CPT Rosenblat represented soldiers accused of bank robbery, murder, and rape. Since the military has jurisdiction over its service personnel anywhere in the world, these soldiers were tried by court-martial for offenses which occurred off the military installation. CPT Rosenblat also represents soldiers in administrative discharge boards both on active duty and in private practice.

Mr. Rosenblat currently represents individuals facing courts-martial, administrative discharge boards, and related adverse actions usually alongside a detailed TDS attorney.

The Uniform Code of Military Justice contains the laws related to criminal prosecution of military personnel. The Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) is the bedrock of military law. The UCMJ is a federal law, enacted by Congress. UCMJ Articles 77 through 134 contain the offenses for which a military member can be court-martialed.

Administrative discharges are used to remove a service member from the military before the expiration of the service member’s term of service. Administrative discharges can result in an honorable discharge, a general discharge under honorable conditions, or an other than honorable discharge. Punitive discharges, such as bad conduct discharges or dishonorable discharges are reserved for court-martials.
